2005-02-16 IG Troops
I have started with a sniper squad. The squad is composed of six men, a shooter and a spotter for each the three teams. I am using a combination of the Cadian Shock Troops and Heavy weapons teams.
I first wanted a sniper rifle this will be more or less standard for all the shooters. I cut the barrel and bayonet mount off the rifle of one of the arms of a lasrifle. I also shaved the imperial emblem off the stock.
For the extension I cut the stock off of one of the spare rifles in the Heavy Weapons Team spur. Using my pin drill I drilled holes in the end of the first rifle and the stock of the second. I used some 14 gauge wire to support the gluing of the two rifles.
I used some green stuff to cover the joint and help made it look like a sniper rifle.
I used some of the body parts from the Shock troop spur and the kneeling pose from the Heavy Spur. I used the head with no helmet for the shooter.
Currently this is all held together with blue stuff for painting.
